Injured workers are welcome at The Physio Centre with all services provided by a Musculoskeletal Physiotherapist.
Will there be any out-of-pocket expenses?
To ensure there are no surprises we will ask you whether or not you have a valid claim number and whether or not you have met your medical excess. The current medical excess for all Workcover claims is $692. This is the amount that the employer is responsible to pay, submitting receipts to work’s insurer and have these recognised and inputed before we can directly bill the Workcover insurance company.
What can I expect?
As an injured worker, you can expect:
- A thorough interview to determine your needs as an injured worker
- A thorough physical examination to assist with planning your recovery
- A clear explanation of your injury and how we can help, along with how you can help
- Treatment which is focused on achieving best outcomes for you, your return to work and return to normal life
In addition to communicating with you, the injured worker, we will also liase with other relevant parties, including your employer, general practitioner and insurance company (where appropriate) to maximise your recovery.
Certificates of Capacity
The initial Certificate of Capacity can be provided by your physiotherapist provided that no time off work is required (a general practitioner will be required to complete certification). Subsequent certificate of capacity, up to 28 days in duration, can be provided by your physiotherapist. Note it is the responsibility of the injured client to ensure an up-to-date certificate to receive loss of income compensation.
