As the shoulder actually consists of 3 joints and is also intimately linked to the neck and upper back, it is easy to see why it may appear complicated. At The Physio Centre we understand that everyone is different, and our assessment and treatment of your presentation is tailored accordingly.

Common symptoms of shoulder pain that we see clients for include:

  • A dull ache radiating from the tip of the shoulder down the upper arm, or alternatively up into the neck
  • Sharp, acute deep joint pain following recent injury or incident
  • Stiffness which is progressively worsening, resulting in disturbed sleep
  • Inability to perform normal activities of daily living ie. dressing, washing hair, reaching into the back seat
  • An inability to sleep on your affected side
  • Sensation of instability of the shoulder, where it appears it may “pop out of joint”
  • Weakness following recent surgery or injury

Whilst we recognise resolution of your symptoms is paramount, rehabilitation to prevent recurrence often involves your commitment to home exercise programs. So whether it be a rotator cuff tendon issue, impingement, subluxation, dislocation, frozen shoulder or even post-surgery, we can assist your needs.
