Clinical exercise classes (previously clinical pilates) is a form of exercise therapy used by physiotherapists to improve flexibility, strength and balance. Clinical exercise classes combines traditional pilates concepts with the latest scientific research making it a safe method in the management of most injuries. As physiotherapists we are trained to rehabilitate specific injuries or work towards your individual goals.

Initially you will be assessed in a 40 min appointment both subjectively and physically in regards to your needs. Basic exercises are prescribed and for a period of time practiced prior to review. A follow-up appointment of 20 mins follows to check technique and understanding before progression of your home exercise program. Following this, a tailored program is devised allowing you to graduate to classes. These classes, which run for 60 mins, contain a maximum of 4 people, with an individual program devised to specifically suit your needs, using specialised equipment in our exercise studio.

Clinical exercise classes are suitable for anyone in any age group. It can benefit people with back or neck pain, pre and post pregnancy, the older population who want strengthening without impact through their joints, for sporting or workplace injury rehabilitation, for improvement of sporting technique, or just for those who want to tone up.
